Mary Schumar got East Grand Rapids going early and Audrey Whiteside put the game away late as the Pioneers defeated Forest Hills United 9-5 Wednesday night at Forest Hills Central.

Schumar scored the first three goals of the game for East before Sophie Forstner added another, helping the Pioneers to a 5-3 halftime lead. In the second half, Schumar continued her scoring barrage, helped by a goal from Sophie Dozeman and a pair from Whiteside. Schumar finished the game with five of East’s nine goals.
